This large enclosed area allows the clan to be protected greatly, as cats from other clans have not mastered the art of scaling it and dangerous animals can't understand it. There are many dens, for each rank, all made out of abandoned two-leg den, the leader's den being the biggest and higher up on a hill. The dens are located in such a way forming a circle around the inside of walled area, and the fresh kill pile is in the center of that space. The leader uses a ledge that is right outside his den to address the clan and hold ceremonies.
