Great News A Not So Secret Meeting (Ravinestar)

Nightstar raced through the forest, the sun was just beginning to rise and she hoped Ravinestar would be there at the place they had first met. He sent an apprentice to the border yesterday afternoon to wait at the border and ask for a private one on one meeting with Ravinestar at the place they had first met. Would he come? She really hoped so. She had so much to tell him about. How would he feel when he heard the news? Would he be happy? Or would he be upset or some other feeling? Nightstar was scared but at the same time she was ecstatic.

As she got to the place the sun had finally scratched the sky and it's light was beginning to spread over the sky. She yawned opening her jaws wide. Normally she would be headed to bed right about now. She blinked and shook her head trying to wake herself up. Hidden beneath her fur was a slight roundness to her stomach from where her kits were beginning to grow. Nightsnow had said it was impossible to figure out how many there were yet but she didn't care she was just happy that she was blessed to carry kits. 

Nightstar scaled a tree just on her side of the border so she could get a better view of the area so she could watch for Ravinestar. She hadn't seen him since that night they had spent together. Her heart raced at the thought of seeing him again.

RAVINESTAR

Ravinestar could hardly wait to see Nightstar again. He truly missed her, and ever since that morning when he had had to leave her and part ways, both of them having to go back to their own clans, he had felt a part of him missing, missing until this very day.

He raced through the woods, making sure everyone knew that he was going to be gone for a bit, hunting was his excuse, and he arrived at the NightClan border by the meadow shortly after. Nothing would keep him from her this time, until of course he had to return home to his clan's camp, but seeing her was not wrong in itself, was it?

He did love her, that he was sure. He sat down and waited for her arrival.

Nightstar watched as Rissenstorm approached the tree which she stood in. Her face softened as loved filled her. She wondered how he would react upon hearing the news. Using her powers to hide her as she scaled down the tree. When she was right behind him she smiled, "boo," she whispered in his ear before lowering the shadows that had surrounded her and kept her hidden.

She brushed against him and nuzzled him. "I missed you. I'm glad you accepted my request to meet with you. I... I have something I need to tell you." Nightstar swallowed nervously, how would he react when he heard she was pregnant with his kits? Taking a deep breath she sat down facing him. She figured it was better to just spit it out. "I'm pregnant, we're going to have kits."

RAVINESTAR

Ravinestar smiled widely when he saw Nightstar, though was startled by her at first. "Nightstar!" he purred, lashing his tail excitedly. "Its been so long. I've missed you too."

He nuzzled her warmly, purring louder. He licked her ears and the back of her head, drawing in her sweet scent, her glossy black fur shining in the sun like a sleek star shower engulfed in flame.

Ravinestar pulled back as she went on speaking, noting that she looked a bit nervous. He tilted his head, curious. What did she want to tell him?

"I'm pregnant, we're going to have kits."

His yellow eyes widened. "Nightstar..." he whispered in shock. His heart warmed with affection, and all worry was non-existent for their clans were acting as one, in a powerful alliance. This was perfectly okay and it was forbidden no longer. "This is wonderful, Nightstar... I love you, and I will make sure our kits are safe and trained well, I will make sure they become the greatest warriors the clans have ever known."

Nightstar was glad to see that he had missed her as much as she missed him. She wished they were in the same clan. Maybe, no she couldn't leave her clan she was their leader they looked to her to lead them and protect them. She remained quiet as she waited for Ravinestar to soak in what she had told him. When he finally spoke it was just to say her name. She could hear the shock in that one word and she began to worry. What if he didn't want kits with her? It seemed like an eternity before he finally spoke again. Her eyes grew wide and brightened when he finally spoke again. She purred loudly and nuzzled him. "You really think so?" She purred even louder when he said he would make sure they became the greatest warriors the clans ever knew. "Yes, as will I. If only there were no borders between us. Then the kits could go back and forth and train with both clans before they chose which clan they decided to live with. I believe it should be their decision on where they end up living for good." She began to think of something but was afraid to say anything. If only their clans were like one but with two leaders. If the borders where open to one another it would make them so much stronger.

(This could be before the borders open to them. Maybe she meets to tell him before she has that meeting?)

RAVINESTAR

Ravinestar perked up his ears. "Well hey... there's no reason we couldn't just have open borders between us," the gray furred tom blurted out, licking her ears affectionately. "I love you, Nightstar. Our kits should be able to know both of us well without being separated, without having divided loyalties to different clans..."

He pulled away and smiled, his heart ecstatic with joy at the thought. He hoped to StarClan that she agreed with him and would follow through with it. "Plus, we would be so much stronger together, united. We could be mates without fearing that what we are doing is forbidden. And with the growing threat of ObsidianClan rising, we'd be the strongest clans around, acting as one and double the size of everyone put together."
