RAEL
The forty-two moons old, thirteen pound, calico coloured, American Shorthair tomcat paced forward, his ears switched a little and his heterochromic amber and pale jade green eyes shifted around himself. He observed every little detail around him. He was after all very intelligent, observant and interested in everything he came across. Not that there was really much to observe right now as it was leaf-bare and most of the creatures were either gone or were hibernating. There were a few birds still about but not too many. Smiling, the tom padded through the bare brown trees.
He'd chased a few birds already this morning, not to eat any of them, just to play. Then he'd found a few cats to play with but now, he was simply making his way through the trees just for a chance to see what else he could see. Sure leaf-bare was a cold time of year, but he had a slightly long double coat so he wasn't as cold as some others might have been. Pausing by a large tree, Rael rose to his hind limbs and sharpened his foreclaws on the bark of the tree. Finished, he approached a frozen pond and padded partway out to the lake's surface and gazed through the mirror-like cover to the world below.
He watched that world for a while and when his paws got cold he padded back off the pond and lay down in a patch of sun, his paws curled up under his frame to warm up his paws again. As he lay in the sun his gaze fell upon other loners out and about the lands, talking, hunting, playing or resting like himself. It had been a good day for the calico tom so far. Hopefully it would only get better as the day wore onto the night.

TIGRAINE
The forty-eight moons old, eight pound, slender, fine-boned, medium-large sized, Somali she-cat paced about the world, interacting with everything and everyone she came across as she walked. She'd spent a few hours that dawn playing and getting attention from the two-legs and their pets. But now, she was wandering about the territory that was unclaimed by any Clan. It was leaf-bare but the chill didn't bother Tigraine, she was almost perfectly built for the season.
Chuckling to herself, she padded along playing with anyone she came across, chasing anything she came across. It had been a while since Tigraine had had anything to eat and so as she chased the birds, she judged which ones she could go after, which one was weakest. A sparrow caught her attention and Tigraine crouched and started stalking the bird she'd chosen. Drawing close to the bird, Tigraine pounced and caught the bird.
Smiling, Tigraine lifted her paw off the still bird and started to carry it toward a patch of sun. Once there, she noticed other cats resting in the scattered spots of sun, one of which being a calico tom. Lying down nearby, Tigraine plucked her kill clean and then she started to eat as the sun warmed her blue coat. Once her meal was finished, she could find others to interact with, either just to talk or to play. Either way Tigraine would be happy.
