cOME TO ME MY DEMONS, FOR TODAY IS THE DAY I sin Everday bUT YOUR tHE oNE tHAT pAYS Cerberus woke up, it was early, real early. The sun had yet to rise, you could just barely see it begin to lighten on the horizon. He stepped out of the old owl den and raked his claws down the branch that rested outside of it. He looked down and smiled, on the ground lay the huge barn owl he had killed the night before so he could use it's next. It was only a plus that there had been an egg in the next inside the tree hollow. He had eaten that for dinner the night before. Now for breakfast, he would have some owl. He had never had owl before, he wondered how it would taste.
Leaping down from branch to branch he reached the ground. He had heavily marked the area before going to bed, he was glad to see that no cat had been stupid enough to try and steal his kill as he slept through the night. Taking one paw he let out his long sharp claws and sliced it's rib cage open and tore out it's heart. The heart was the best part. Owls had a pretty big heart bigger than any he had ever eaten before. Cerberus dug in happily chewing on the heart.
Once he had finished eating his full he licked his lips but left the blood on his paws and muzzle as he patrolled the area. "Yes, this place will do nicely. I think I'll claim it as mine." He purred softly, as he thought. Maybe he wouldn't mark the borders this way cats would come in and give him a reason for killing them. He smiled at the thought of spilling another's life blood.

"Howling ghosts they reappear, in mountains that are stacked with fear" He had escaped.
Well, more like he had just woken up early enough to leave camp by himself without being swamped with conversation and other social activities the clan cats seemed to have a habit of doing. Mosscloud hadn’t exactly been a warrior for actually that long, or at least it certainly didn’t feel like it had been. A few moons at most? And after spending his whole life as a skittish rogue, it would only take time for him to get used to this strange new world he had happened to discover and want to be a part of. And that was the thing. He actually wanted to live out the rest of his days in Torchclan, it was a lot safer than he was used to. And for once in his life he actually wanted to make an effort, he wanted other cats to like him.
If his sister could be happy in whatever kind of a gang she seemed to be leading, then he could be happy with his own group of ‘friends’. As of course, these cats were his friend right? They had accepted him, and given him shelter in return for him to follow their rules. But the rules, just didn’t entirely make much sense to him still, although he guessed the cats must have some sort of a reason for them, they sounded to be very important anyway. He didn’t exactly want to risk breaking any of them just to see how much of a reaction he’d get. He would just have to get used to how thing were here, however long that would take him.
He continued plodding forwards determinedly, one paw step after the other. He wanted to impress his adoptive clan, he didn’t want to just bring them a couple of mice to eat. Oh no, he was thinking rabbits (if he were to even find any in these parts). Hunting, even although it was one of the few things Mosscloud was actually good at, was still tricky at the best of times. And even if you could eventually catch something, life as a rogue had taught him that it was all too easy to lose it afterwards, or rather – have it stolen.
Sighing heavily, the grey tom paused to drop the shrew he had been carrying from his jaws at the base of a tall tree, and immediately covered its small body with some dirt and leaves in effort to hide it a little. He would come back for it later. He then continued through the forest, walking still with some confidence even if he did notice the trees growing more dense around him as he moved, he wasn’t going to be frightened off by anything today. He was a warrior now. He didn’t have to run away from anyone. He wasn’t his past cowardly self anymore, Foggy was gone. And he would handle anything the clans threw at him, because nothing could be that bad right? It wasn’t as if cats attacked other cats for no reason. And as far as he knew, he hadn’t given them one yet. Hopefully.
After another heartbeat passed, a voice sounded just ahead of him causing him to frown. 'Claim it?' Mosscloud blinked in confusion before a jolt of worry shot through him like a knife, if he was trespassing, he needed to get out of here fast. Every instinct telling him to turn back the other way and run. But no. He shook his head in annoyance, what was he thinking!? There was absolutely nothing to be frightened of here, and if the other cat wanted him to leave, then fine. It wasn’t as if he had put up any scent markings anyway. And so he narrowed his eyes preparing himself to step forwards and reveal himself.
“Um…hello!” he mewed cheerily in attempt to seem friendly, as perhaps if he made it clear that he wasn’t a threat to the other cat, everything would be completely fine and he could just be on his way. Noticing the blood on the darker cats paws and muzzle he frowned again, most cats usually washed themselves after eating. Maybe this other cat didn’t know? But then again, wouldn’t he smell it? Unsure what to do, Mosscloud took a step backwards nervously “Err…um – I didn’t mean to bother you – I hope I’m not intruding” he smiled hopefully at the other cat, clearly not knowing who he was speaking to. If he had, he would never have spoken to him in the first place. Or better still, avoided this whole area altogether. It wasn’t as if he had much business visiting the loner lands anymore anyway.

Cerberus Grabbed what was left over of the owl and dragged it under the roots of the tree he had claimed as his to save for later. The smell of blood filled the air so he had no idea that a cat had trespassed the area he had marked. Once his kill was under the roots he began to rearrange the roots and snow to cover his kill as well as to keep it fresh. A cat would have to be stupid or brave to enter his territory and try and steal his kill. But wasn't he a little crazy as well? He began to laugh at that thought. "Now that I've eaten time to have some fun," he purred softly at the thought of sneaking into one of the clans and killing one. Just as that thought went through his head he heard the sound of a tom cat call out hello. His ears pricked up and he sniffed the air. Torchclan, he could smell over the scent of blood. His pulse began to pick up speed, "I... I guess I... I d... don't need t...t....to go in s...search of s...some fun after all." Already the stuttering was starting as excitement pumped through his blood. The warrior seemed scared, bending his head he licked the blood off of one of his paws. He swallowed doing his best to keep his stuttering under control. "Well hello there, who m...might you be? And why have you t...trespassed ont...t...t...to my t...territory? Didn't you smell my border markers? I m...marked them rather heavily last n...night. And don't t...tell me you didn't s...smell them." His eyes grew dark with the need to shred his skin to pieces. But not yet. Oooh no not yet, he wanted to have some fun with him first. Cerberus padded towards the Torchclan warrior and began to circle him looking him up and down. He smirked, he could take him easily. By sun high this toms blood would stain the ground beneath him. He would use the toms pelt for bedding by the time he was done with this disgusting clan cat. As he circled around the tom he let his tail brush his muzzle. "So tell me Torchclan cat, why are you so far from home?" He licked his lips cleaning blood from around his mouth but really anticipating killing this cat. geo

A bird cawed and a black cat could feel her paws lift off the ground as she flew towards the animal. Her paws caught the bird with ease, and its blood spilled against the green grass. The red against the green didn't match at all, and the blood looked out of place. It seemed unnatural in the peaceful valley. Perhaps blood wasn't meant to be spilled.
Suddenly she was falling down, and her paws flailed beneath her. The branch she had been sitting upon split with an uncanny yowl. The ground opened up and swallowed her whole.
Ebony woke up with a gasp. What a terrible dream. She shook her head, and her mouth split open in a yawn. Whatever awaited her outside, she knew it had something to do with slippery blood. Or so her dreams thought.
The she-cat grunted as she walked outside. It was very earily, and Ebony did not like early. She liked sleeping in, and waking up mid-day. But that wasn't what was happening today. Her paws dragged as she started towards a strange small. It was probably a dead badger or something, but it did smell of a clan. But what was a clan-cat doing out here? Weren't clan cats all about territories and hunting in their own territory?
Ebony huffed, but continued to follow the trail. Her nose twitched as a strong scent came over her. It was clear this clan-cat was heading into places they weren't wanted. Nervousness to be in such a dangerous and mysterious place creeped up her spine, but she swallowed and trekked on.
Then she saw them. The two toms. One of them was clearly the authority, strutting around like her owned the place. She puffed out her chest, and walked into the scene with her head held high. "Isn't it a bit early for you two toms? Because I thought your waking time was set by your mothers. Or was I wrongly mistaken?" she cooed, with a small snicker.

Mosscloud glanced downwards to stare at his paws as the black tom began to stutter, quite relieved that at least he wasn’t the only cat who found these sorts of situations a challenge. But then again, the words this strange tom was speaking didn’t make much of a sense to him. What fun? He had a worrying thought that the cat was referring to him, that he was to be this supposed fun. Although, perhaps this could still be only harmless, it wasn’t as if the cat had attacked him already so surely he was meaning something a little more…safe?
He couldn’t be entirely sure, every muscle in his body ached, wanting to turn around and flee. He wasn’t even sure if he was actually scared, it all felt very silly to be as frightened as he was feeling when the stranger hadn’t even done anything to him yet. Yet being the key word here, the other cat even seemed to be a little excited by Mossclouds presence, and quite creepily so if he was honest. He flicked his ear slightly with nerves, it didn’t look as if this tom had many visitors. He was certainly not a clan cat right now anyway, not looking like that.
And then the tom continued speaking, causing the poor grey tom to shiver slightly under the coldness of his voice. “Foggy” he nearly squeaked in reply to the cats first question before clearing his throat with a gentle cough in effort to begin to compose himself. Just because he had spent his whole life running away from danger, was no reason for him to do so now. He was a warrior, he knew the basics of fighting so he had absolutely nothing to worry about here. The clan cats didn’t exactly think rogues to be that dangerous anyway, and as a former rogue perhaps he could reason with him somewhat. This was the reason he gave the dark tom his old name, if he could think he was still a rogue then they had no real squabble right? Oh dear Starclan, whatever they really were, he hoped that he was worrying for nothing.
So he had marked his territory? Foggy swallowed loudly, he must have been too lost in his own thoughts to notice them then when he was hunting, if that was the case because surely, or at least he hoped he wasn’t that much of an idiot to walk straight over them! He opened his mouth to reply, no sound coming out as he did so. The black tom’s eyes darkening making him feel very uncomfortable standing here, what excuse could he possibly provide for him. What answer would actually keep him alive? Because like most cats, he actually did want to live, and keep the fur on his back too if he could help it. “S-ssorry” he stuttered quietly, trying not to show how panicked he truly was right now.
And then the tom began circling him, he really wanted to turn his gaze to follow the other tom as he paced but his tail brushed past his muzzle causing him to freeze stiffly. Torchclan cat. He knew. And so he couldn’t be just Foggy the rogue, he was Mosscloud a clan cat. And clearly, this rogue didn’t like them at all that much by the way he was acting. A little regret jolted through him. He shouldn’t have ignored his first instinct to run, he didn’t care if that made him a coward he just wanted to get out of here. He stepped backwards slowly, “Sorry” he repeated before breathing outwardly in attempt at calming himself down, not that this was working, if anything he was more panicked now than before,”I don’t know” he mumbled before trying to take another step backwards, only it was hard to do so with the other tom circling him the way he was.
“EEK!”
Mosscloud suddenly squeaked like a kit as another voice sounded behind of him causing him to puff up his fur in defence. He turned his head with wide eyes to see that a female had now joined them, and not a clan cat either. Another rogue. This wasn’t looking good, how could he possibly fight the two of them? Not in the state he was in mentally anyway, and he hated himself for it. The fact that he shouldn’t be scared by all of this, he should be dealing with this situation like the warrior he was actually meant to be here. But he wasn’t, and it was all pretty pathetic. He understood that. And he silently prayed that maybe, just maybe his sister and her gang would burst out from the trees any second now and save him from all of this. But that was just never going to happen. He sighed and flicked his tail in a jagged motion, “What are you talking about?” both annoyance and fear evident in his tone as he watched her for a moment, before stiffly taking another step. He was very much still aware that the other tom was lurking around him.

Cerberus continued to circle the gray tom-cat. His heart racing in anticipation of causing his blood to poor. He could smell the fear coming off in waves of this so called clan cat. He had thought clan cats were braver then this at least his clan was. This cat was pathetic. He was stuttering with fear, at least he was stuttering from excitement and anticipation. "F..Fuggy? Oh no, n...no, no I th...think you can do b...b...better than that. That may have b...been your name at one t...time but not anymore. Your no r...rouge. You're a warrior." A shiver ran down his spine, he had to draw blood, he couldn't hold back anymore. Just a little cut nothing serious. He extended his claws and as he circled behind him he slashed it at the tom's hip.
"S...s...sorry?" He chuckled softly. "You think you're s...sorry now, but just you wait. I'll show you what s...s...sorry is." Cerberus chuckled softly but darkly. His eyes had a thirst, a thirst for blood in them. It took every fiber of his being not to kill him right here and now. Oh the need and thirst to draw the cat's blood was stronger, stronger than it had been in a while. But he did his best to push it down, he wanted to draw this out and have some fun. The smell of fear coming off of "Foggy" was enough to feed his thirst for now.
As Cerberus made yet another circle another scent reached him and his ears flattened. It was a Fem, and a rogue or at least a loner. But if he had to guess he would have to say the first for a loner wouldn't be stupid enough to trespass into his territory let alone confront him the way she was. He wiped around and hissed baring his fangs at her. "If I were you fem, I would leave now, and leave quickly. You do not want to be here." He crouched low and began to slowly approach her. His eyes filled with anger and hate. She had ruined his fun and she would make him pay if she didn't leave right that moment. "Why don't you run back to your upwalkers for protection. For you don't want to be on my bad side fem."

Ebony openly rolled her eyes at the stupid toms. What in this world could make them stutter so much? Clearly, one was very nervous. But the other one, all he displayed was pure confidence and dominance. Something this clan cat could clearly use. Both toms stuttered a weird conversation, and then one lashed out at the other. Harsh. The sudden movement reminded her of Puddles attacking her as a kitten. Sadness crept up her spine just thinking about it. Her lack of a tail seemed more obvious as the tense moments passed by.
Ebony snorted at the clan cat as he turned around. Her tail tip twitched behind her as she jutted her head forward stared him deep in the eyes. "I wa- was j-j-just saying how weak you are." she meowed, faking a stutter. She drew her head back before the tom could strike her. She knew he would if she gave him the chance. He did seem quite angry.
Her lips drew back in an equal snarl as the huge black tom threatened her. She bristled slightly as he approached her, and she could tell he was the more dangerous one. Warily, Ebony forced the fur on her spine to lie flat. Her fangs still bared, she hissed. "And why would I be scared by you? Because you scratched the puny warrior and told him to be sorry? I've seen elders do worse." she snarled.
Ebony would not let herself be beaten. She needed something to boost her self-esteem after Puddles had beaten her down. Puddles had been her mother practically, and then one faithful day, her 'mother' bit off her tail. Ebony wasn't trusting anyone after that. Sometimes she didn't even trust herself.
