"Howling ghosts they reappear, in mountains that are stacked with fear"
Mosscloud, or rather Foggy as the cat he truly still believed himself to be in his heart, was a warrior now. With an actual purpose, a real Clan to live and breathe for. Something to fight for other than his own petty survival, he had something to believe in. And even though he had been living as a clan cat for many moons now, it was still a little strange at times to wake up in the den surrounded by other cats just like himself. All here working together to feed and protect a Clan. He had to admit, the whole idea and structure of how it all worked here was completely perfect. Or at least, these were his first thoughts on it all. What could possibly go wrong with a life as organised as this one? It was certainly something he had never had in his previous one, and he didn’t want to go ahead and ruin it. Not today.
And so with a sleepy sigh, the grey tom stretched his back legs behind him and groaned in a lazy satisfaction before quickly swiping his tongue roughly down his chest in a small effort to tidy himself up a little bit. However, eventually deciding that looks didn’t matter at all that much in order to catch food, he then proceeded to trot lightly outwards from the shelter and into the centre of the camp. Tail held high he passed a group of cats as he went intending to leave straight into the forest alone. He wasn’t exactly the most sociable of cats after all, other than his family. His relationships with anyone else, generally didn’t last. But still, he was a Clan cat now. TorchClan was his home. He had to make some kind of an effort here.
He flicked his ear backwards almost irritably as he changed his mind, turning abruptly on his paws to face another cat that was going about their business. “Hey!” he began attempting to grab the others attention. Although as soon as he had it, he found himself quickly going silent once more. He blinked as an awkward heartbeat passed, quite clearly struggling for his brain and mouth to work at the same speed. “I…err...” he swallowed loudly before shaking his head slightly in frustration at the situation. Just speak already! His thoughts yelled at himself causing him to jump into a little rant, “Yeah! Um - I was going to go hunting, would you like to join me?” he took a big breath after finishing his sentence, nearly sitting down in the relief, not at all caring that much to listen for a reply.
