Cerberus left long before the sun rose into the sky leaving his kits sound asleep in the hollow. For two moons he had been training them to hunt and fight. Now it was time to teach them to kill, he was headed out in search of to cats apprentices preferably. He headed first for Obsidianclan. He slunk into their territory and waited, it wasn't long before an apprentice came along hunting on it's own. He quickly attacked and knocked it out. Once unconscious he dragged the cat out of the border. He rolled himself and the apprentice in garlic to hide their scents before continuing on his way. Next stop would be Torchclan it was on his way back to The Lost Lands. He tied the apprentice in vines then went and snuck into Torchclan. He found his way into the camp and kidnapped a kit and ran as fast as he could back to where he had left the apprentice. The kit was wailing but he threatened to kill it if it didn't shut up. Setting the kit down he told it to follow him or else and he continued on his way dragging the apprentice.
It was a long walk back and by the time he returned the sun was beginning to rise up in the sky. He threw the apprentice on the ground and heard him groan. "WASP, KESTREL GET DOWN HERE!" He yowled to his sleeping kits. "Time for training I have a surprise for you guys." He turned to the kit and smiled cruelly at it. He could tell he was terrified because it was shaking like a leaf. He ducked under the roots and ripped a rabbit leg off of the kill from the night before and came back out. "Here kit eat up, it will be the last thing you eat for a while." He didn't want to frighten it too much and tell the kit it would be the last thing it ate period. He was just trying to get it to calm down enough until his kits woke and came down from the tree.
Kestrel lay sleeping silently in the tree hollow, never feeling the emptiness when her father woke up and left. In her sleep, she just curled up closer to her brother Wasp. As she slept she dreamed of her mother, she was trying to tell her something. But she couldn't hear her. Dollie shook her head sadly and began to walk away. Kestrel ran after her, screaming for her to wait for her. Why was she leaving her? Why didn't she let her catch up so she could hear what she was trying to tell her? "Mom don't leave me, come back." She cried out in her dream. Dollie turned and looked back at her, there were tears in her eyes. She opened her mouth to say something. "WASP, KESTREL GET DOWN HERE!" What the?
Two mismatched eyes one of blue and one of amber blinked open as she snapped out of her dream by her father's voice. "It was just a dream," she sighed then began cleaning herself. A moment later Kestrel heard her father's voice once again as he said it was time for training and that he had a surprise for them. Excited she quickly nudged Wasp before jumping out of the hollow. She climbed onto the branch just outside of their den and looked down. "Morning dad, whatcha got for us today?" Her eyes grew wide as she saw the kit, probably no more than two moons old. And next to the kit was another cat either dead or unconscious. It was the size of an apprentice and had the scent of Obsidianclan and Torchclan. She felt bad for them and hoped her father wouldn't make her hurt the kit. Quick as the bird, she was named after she leaped from branch to branch before jumping to the ground.
